Ash is gonna write the round up blog for the mini tour in Northern Ireland with TAPASIA and MONSTERS BUILD MEAN ROBOTS, my two pence worth is that going home to play was amazing, the crowds were awesome and gave us a really warm reception, copius amounts of buck and ulster frys passed through and killed my insides and alot of laughs were had, first band went on after 11pm each night with headliners on stage for 1am.......ENGLAND, are you paying attention to this?????????
i'll badger Ash to get his blog up soon
In the meantime you can check out some of the legend that is Matthew Alexander Patton's photo's from the RADAR Live show here http://www.pavelware.com/photography.htm

yeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwww
so this weekend has been alot of fun, friday night was ATDi night and after starting of a bit weak with the first band thinking the night was called At the drive in they instead treated us to biffy clyro covers (lol) but pretty well in fairness, Adam s Kirkup was not my cup of tea instead doing acoustic versions of his own songs and an owen cover, his highlight was lopsided from In casino out!
xtag on the other hand really got the night of to the way it should have been, they were joined by a mate on guitar and vocals and they fucking owned Catacombs setting the pace for the next band One Armed Jizzer, they'd formed just for this gig and they were SICK! they battered through all the biggest ATDi songs my favorite being invalid litter dept and got everyone wrecking as they closed with one armed scissor, we all left happy and with the feeling that we'd just left an ATDi gig!
saturday we played leicester with Buenos Aires, silent devices and twenty below zero, we had arrived late so had drawn the short straw and had to play first :-( we soundchecked and started our set to the soundman and one other person, by the time we'd finished the first song a few more people had begun to fill the room out a bit but it wasn't a great turnout. After we played we went on search of some buckfast in leicester, found some and chaos followed, we sat backstage with the buenos boys for ages and the party just got more and more wild, we missed most of silent devices set but what i saw was pretty good. Twenty below zero were cool and their drummer was ace! they had a little roadie helper dude sitting on stage with them which was funny cos he was passing guitars over to the frontman who probably could just have reached over and grabbed it :-)
Next up were Buenos, taking to the stage with their buckfast in hand they battered through their set to a pretty small crowd but those who did stay were loving it, they played a new song as well which was intense and a nice breather in their already great set. We packed up our shit and as we were doing that i had a panic and couldnt find my guitar, some prick had taken it out of its case and left the guitar just lying around and nicked my case and 3 packs of strings, anyways we continued to party into the night and i don't remember much after that other than things getting out of hand and Will accidently splitting Cem's nose by throwing an aerosol can at it after being soaked with a fire extingusher, once i get the photo online it'll be up here, (i'm so slack with pictures but will get them up soon)

Sunday was met with a stinkin hangover but excitement about the mono show, we set off from leicester and had some food before loading all our gear into the rescue rooms for soundcheck, there was alot of sitting around waiting but we were all really excited to be supporting one of our favorite bands, the mono guys were really cool and there was a big crowd forming early for the show, we went on at 8.30 and the place was heaving, i was getting that butterfly feeling for the first time in a long long time. we had a quick false start and then got going and seemed to go down pretty well,
it was however all about MONO tonight, i've been a fan for years and never had a chance to see them yet so tonight was even more special to me, they treated us to over an hour of post-rock goodness giving it their all on stage and not once saying a single word to the crowd who were lapping every note up eagerly.
As they took a bow and left the stage the crowd began to saunter off and it was time for us to pack up our gear and load out, we stopped for a bit and had a quick banter and a couple of sliffs with mono before they set off to get some shut eye. EPIC WEEKEND!

the worst days always end up the best
this morning involved sleeping in and almost being late for work, in the process of getting ready to leave i proper fucking stubbed my wee toe and let out a yelp, by the time i got to work it was killing so i thought i'd broke it, not sure if i have or not, i can walk on it so thats a good sign :-) sat bored in work all day until i got an email at 4.30 asking us about the Mono support on sunday at the rescue rooms which we obviously said yes to as we're big fans so things are looking up for the rest of the weekend.

Tomorrow is our leicester show @ SUMO with Buenos Aires, Twenty below zero and Silent devices

Badger Vs Panda : update 2
Peterborough
it's the late Frankie Howards birthday and we've shown up at the Glass onion music and arts centre in Peterborough to load in a little late but still with plenty of time,we caught up with the Buenos Aires lads for the first time in ages and hit the buckfast
Buenos Aires were brilliant, probably the best i'd seen them yet and the crowd got well into their bouncy post-hardcore reminiscent at times of Biffy meets ATD-i, two songs in and Jake lets us know the buckie's gone straight to his head and it's all my fault (we did warn them) if anyones not heard of the leicester lads, do yourselves a favour and check them out here Buenos Aires
Tapasia went on next and got a song in before the fire alarms started going off, everyone in the venue just stood around while omar drummed along to the alarms, then it stopped, then started again before the management made everyone leave, it was only while we were standing outside the venue that we realised how nice a turnout was actually there and thankfully nobody left, instead all standing around having a smoke while we waited to get back in. when we did get in again the whole atmosphere had changed and everybody seemed more in party mode, Tapasia carried on with their set and got joined by some ridiculous polish breakdancer down the front which was hilarious but he succeeded in getting people involved and dancing down the front and it truely was Party time!!!!!
The Hendo sans project were up next, dressed like Jesus and his Disciples rocking the bit out which was enjoyable although the vocals were a little lacklustre seeing them this time around unfortunately but everything else was flawless as they banged through their set of stoner rock!
Apparantly the venue wanted us to be done by 12:15 but it was 11.50 and the hendos were still on stage, they finished and we did the quickest changeover possible and battered through our set while people partied around us. I honestly think the Glass onion is one of the most fun places to play and everyone in peterborough is sound as fuck.
We ended up going back to our mate Tasha's house for what turned out to be quite a messy night, we were introduced to legends like Jimmy the pirate and Marco who were ace and played some great tunes for us including our new favorite tour song 16 bit - Chainsaw Calligraphy, proper dirty dubstep. I tried to crash at about 5.30am but no sooner had i put my head down than will and Omar showed up with a load more booze and continued to party all night while todd did some paitings for tashas house,16 bit must have been played about 15 times throughout the night at full volume, we were all really surprised there were no complaints as theres an old folks home across the road too.
11am we headed for a venture round peterborough to find absolutley nothing, it was like waking up in Poland and we tried in vain to find a cafe for a fry up, all peterborough seems to have are little european style cafes so we ended up going sainsburys and buying a load of sandwich stuff for everyone.
LEEDS
we set off for our gear and to make the trip up to Leeds for the first time at about 3pm and everything went smoothly with us arriving at the Fenton for 6.15 to set up and soundcheck, first impressions were that it smelled pretty grim but was a pretty decent venue to be fair.
Pattern arrived and were really friendly lads, we cracked open a few bottles of wine and then went to hand out some flyers round leeds, its a wicked city and Ross and I found a wicked little pub called the Dry dock which was built into a ship :-)
we headed back to the venue and Pattern kicked off the night for us, they sound like a band that belongs nestled amoung the BSM label family with the 3 piece having toured with great bands like shapes and Blakfish, the drummer took on the main vocal duties in their upbeat math-indie and we all really enjoyed their set and will be sorting some more shows together in future for sure!
next up were Mercurial, they started off a bit ropey with the sound being a bit off but by the end of the second song it was all good and they sounded in parts like Incubus mixed with Faith no more, they were good but it was only their last track which really made an impression on me, maybe it was the tiredness or the wine but i was flaking pretty badly.
we played next and i think it was the tiredest i've ever been for a gig but we battled on and it was alot of fun despite the average turnout.
Tapasia rounded the night up and everyone enjoyed themselves with a few of their mates from home showing up for the show.
We packed up and decided that we were gonna try and find a travelodge or hostel but made up our mind to stop into the Dry dock for a quick pint first!
We tried calling the travelodge - FULLY BOOKED
tried ETAP - FULLY BOOKED
tried ISAS - FULLY BOOKED
Dry dock closed early so we wandered the streets freezing looking for a hostel or hotel for us all........NO JOY!!!!!!!!
we all gave up and decided to crash in the Cars :-(
tried to turn our car on to heat it up a bit, NO jOY, wouldn't start!
Borrowed some of Tapasia Stinking trailer blankets to keep warm and spent the night getting stoned in a carpark :-)
Woke up with the most killer back (everyone else seemed to fuck up their knees instead) and went for a wander into Leeds for breakfast at the Walkabout were Ash got served Raw sausages and we all drank cold coffee......SORT IT OUT!!!!
Back to the Car and The "Tapanda" lads had to get off as they'd to be in Stranraer for 7pm.......MISSION!
we meanwhile waited for roadside recovery to arrive, when they did the guy literally took 2 minutes to fix the problem (fuck knows what was up with it) and we were back on the road home :-(
Roll on Ireland in a few weeks it's gonna be messy!
photos will be up soon........PROMISE!

Badger Vs Panda : quick update
Huddersfield = :-(
alot of tired men arrive to find our local support didn't show up, nor did many people, we pretty much played fun sets to each others bands and a small handful of drifters from downstairs until about 10, then we went downstairs for the Acoustic night, the captain didn't get involved this time but Darren from Tapasia did and it was wicked.........if only you could get everyone from downstairs to come upstairs while bands are on Bar 1:22 would be the tits!
Nottingham = :-)
nice friendly crowd,
goodnightparis were awesome, but apparently it was their last gig as their singers going travelling which is a shame but i envy the man for going off around the world!
The Wickets are a band that just get better and better everytime we see them, they were playing alot of new material from the upcoming album which all sounds wicked.
Tapasia were excellent some of my favourites in their set were new songs "Heathens" and "Tongues" and they received a great reception.
By the time we played i was pretty drunk but it was alot of fun we closed with bad teeth and then into a jam before being joined by the Tapasia boys for a bit of Alright the Tapasia
Lock in afterwards was great too :-)
Derby = :-)
Switzerland opened for us, they were great and all stupidly young and talented!
Tapasia were great again with some nice wee surprise bits and some manilow :-)
Another fun set for us, it was very relaxed and at least people stuck around again!
We tried heading to the Royal afterwards but couldn't get in so we all ended up in players til the early hours randomly.
Peterborough tonight should be a blast...........Keep ya posted!
We'll get some photos up soon!

Tour starts today
As i type this Tapasia are probably just getting off the ferry and making the drive to meet us later in Huddersfield.....FUN TIMES!
Tour starts tonight at Bar 1:22 and if its any thing like previous tuesday nights in Hudds it's gonna be a great nights craic, we'll have copies of the EP available on this tour which makes a pleasant change, just waiting for some stickers and badges to be delivered too so hopefully they'll arrive before we set off today.
We've uploaded the new version of Bad teeth to our myspace so ya can have a wee nosey.
Also this week i've been jamming with Ali and Robin from Beyond this point are monsters, we're working on some riffs for a new project since i'm living in Derby now, we're gonna get Paul Taylor (LoEgo) in on second guitar soon soo.
after last nights rehearsal we headed down to the vines on a whim and was well impressed, i arrived just as a band called Flatlands were starting their set and was fuckin blown away, they play heavy post-metal which was reminiscint of Isis and Cult of luna, the singer Mike had a wicked voice and they chopped and changed from crushingly heavy riffs to atmospheric ambience so easily and it was really refreshing to be at a gig were i hadn't already heard of the bands.
A band Called Catharsis headlined combining influences including ISIS, Pelican, Godspeed you! Black emperor and Mogwai creating an aggressive and experimental set of songs, i found our afterwards that they are Derby based so not sure how they slipped under my radar but i'll defintiely be going to see them again soon :-)
